I am so excited to be part of the incredible new initiative by Dress for Success. The past few weeks have been full of change and uncertainty. However, an unbelievable amount of girl power and activism has risen to the surface and flooded our lives. I walked the Women’s March on January 21 and decided to look the part of me feeling empowered. Personally, for me that’s a simple pair of denim jeans and leather jacket ensemble. Dressing for success can mean so many things these days, it’s not only within a power suit but can also be a simple look that makes you feel in charge of your life.
Dress for Success has launched their first-ever Success is in the Bag program. I have been asked to donate a luxury designer handbag that will be auctioned off online at Love That Bag. The program goes deeper though and is for a bigger and greater cause, which is empowering Canadian woman. All the proceeds from the auction will go towards supporting low-income women across the country to help them achieve economic independence and thrive in work and life, which is not always easy or simple no matter in what situation you are in. I am so excited and honored to be part of this movement. It’s all about spreading kindness and compassion, paying it forward seems to be the vibe of this year.
I encourage you to think about things that you can do to contribute to this theme and consider donating a high-end handbag to Success…is in the Bag. The initiative leads up to International Women’s Day on March 8 and is a great way to support women in your community. For more information on how you can be part of this click through, HERE
