Writing this review has me instantly longing to go back to Bali. We stayed at Katamama in Seminyak and design and style wise gets a 10 out of 10. Having an eye for attention to detail this hotel is the best place to make you feel the boutique yet balinese type of luxury you would look for in an artesian hotel stay. They just get it, from the check in process, which is in the room along side a fresh cocktail that is also made in room to the quit pool scene hidden behind the building, everything is immaculately designed and thought through.
A major benefit, to being a guest at the hotel is that you have free access and first choice on the beach club across the road, a new and just as trendy looking beach club called Potato Head. The day starts off very chill and apps up a bit in the afternoon, when each and every chair and cabana gets swooped up by cool looking young families or groups of friends. The service is beyond amazing , including a complimentary, refreshing fruit delivery in the afternoon, which is very necessary in the heat an after a few cocktails in the infinity pool.
The hotel has a little alley lined with an additional coffee shop for your coffee cravings, an amazing boutique that sells all artesian products you can also find inside the room and throughout the hotel. So you can take home a little piece of your perfectly decorated room just like that. Each suite has been finished differently so when booking make sure to look through all their rooms to find the perfect fit that you are looking for. All the rooms have a similar warm more dark vibe that totally works with its surroundings.
5 Hotel Highlights
1. Access to the Potato Head Beach Club
2. Complimentary incredibly healthy breakfast in their amazing restaurant Movida Bar De Tapas
3. You can purchase a lot of the local decor they have in the rooms
4. There is a full Bar stacked with everything you need for creating cocktails
5. It is so central but feels removed from the busy streets of Seminyak
This boutique hotel is in my top 5 favorites. So happy we had the opportunity to stay at this spot, thanks to The Asia Collective that took care of booking our Bali vacation and every spot we stayed at represented the area so perfectly. Seminkyak is more of a busy vibe, lots of Restaurants, boutiques and night life. I will share our favorite locations on the area soon.
